My trainer said to run 2.5 hours on Saturday and 3.5 hours on Sunday at an easy pace. The idea here is to build distance and not train for a 100 meter dash. Ah little does my trainer know! An easy pace for me is sitting on the couch on the weekend with a good Scotch on one hand and a couple of old episodes of Firefly (I am such a Firefly fan – but that’s for another post). Today, I am on top of the world because not only did I run two and half-hours on Saturday but I also got up the next day and run 3 and a half-hours! We are on our way to crossing the finish line on that 50 Miler in 6 weeks!
