Ultra running Madness

Pam Reed and Dean Karnazes in their over-the-top pursuit of brutal distances make for a hilarious read in Outside Magazine this month. Scott Jurek – the vegan ultrarunner – is still my champion. Pam Reed participated in the 100 Mile in the Grand Teton race last month (was my first attempt at the 50 miles). She finished 3rd in 24 hours!
