The Triple Tahoe Team: From left to right, Paul, Leila, Mr. T

This is it. We are all registered for the Triple Tahoe (madness). I am not sure how I plan to finish 3 marathons in 3 days on an injured knee but hey trying is half the battle already. I need to remember what I did poorly in my last 50k so as not to repeat that this time as it will be costly.

At our Tahoe planning session we decided on leaving Toronto a couple of days before the race as we will be running at an elevation of over 6,500 feet and it would be good to get there a couple of days in advance to get used to things. So here is a rough schedule:

Monday September 25, 2006
Departure from Toronto to Tahoe (via San Francisco)

Tuesday September 26
We are in Tahoe and getting used to things. Going over the course.

Wednesday September 27
More getting used to altitude and course review. Dinner with all Triple Tahoe participants and organizers. Dinner is at the Horizon Casino Hotel.
We will get our race bibs, go over details and meet everyone. Detailed schedule is below:
– 4:30pm: Pick up bibs, singlet, dinner ticket
– 5:30pm dinner buffet at the Horizon.
– 5:45pm Race Director’s words of welcome
– 6:00pm Past winners and participants will speak about the course and some insights on how to run 3 marathons in a row.
The co-triple Directors Marty Coffey and Austin Angel will discuss the schedule, course, and procedures and answer questions.
