From an LA Daily article via Scott:
Covert gets up at 5 AM. He spent the past 38 years and 23 days running. Every morning. He ran more than 130,000 miles in total.
The consecutive-days running streak, which began the year he graduated from Burbank High in 1968, is the longest of its kind in the nation, according to U.S. Running Streak Association, Inc.
"It’s not as much of a challenge to get up and put your shoes on every morning when you’re perfectly healthy." Says Covert.
and I can’t lace my shoes up 3 times a week? I am going to get Covert’s pictures and record data and tape it to my screen!
